The chosen domain comprises four initial civil systems that are\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/?page_id=3631\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Concrete gravity dam<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/?page_id=3626\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Utility tunnel<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/?page_id=3633\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oscillating water column<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/?page_id=3628\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amphibious house<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The integrated system seeks the combination of leisure space and a productive landscape. The concrete gravity dam in combination with an oscillating water column is designed to produce power of a total of 270 MW which is enough to supply around 300,000 households as well as to support the operation and maintenance of the park.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop the combined ontology the followings steps were followed:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.Combining ontologies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to begin with the process of integration, the ontologies of the initial civil systems were merged into a single ontology using a merging tool in\u00a0 Prot\u00e9g\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Aligning, re-organizing, and extending the combined ontology<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firstly, in the combined ontology, we found mutual relations for classes that are relevant. We found places in the ontologies in which they overlap and related the concepts. According to our integration, mutual classes are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main Materials<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Failures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Function<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Construction Type\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Components<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secondly, we started to define the relation between the elements of mutual classes. Some of the mutual classes don&#8217;t have mutual elements for the other systems. Based on the nature of the construction systems, construction types and components are different.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main materials change depending on the system, but the common main materials are Concrete, Steel, Rock, Timber.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Failures are hydrological failure, operational failure, and seismic failure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The function is to produce and provide energy which is the key point of the system.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a third step, based on these common points, we create design options. Hydrological failure is one of the common risks for all subsystems of the integrated model. Floods cause damage not only to the structure itself but also to many other infrastructure networks such as roads, bridges, houses, and utilities can be affected. It also risks public safety as well. Oscillating Water Column uses effects of wave power devices to electricity. Coastal flooding also affects creating energy from waves. For the utility tunnel, heavy rain flooding and failure of maintenance pumps can cause damage. Flood water can be hard to estimate. Amphibious house is employed as a flood mitigation strategy in flood-prone areas. It is the only system that protects itself from water floods.
