During its lifetime a civil engineering system must withstand extreme load. In general, each system is designed for a specific life span. These are for example 30 years for a wind turbine, 35 years for a heating system an 70 years for a multi-storey car park. Naturally a system has to be maintained and even in high quality products failures are not inevitable. Depending on the state of degradation, different maintenance actions are required.<\/p>\n

Due to the integration context<\/a>\u00a0we have created for our systems and the results of the second assignment of each system we have integrated the different maintenance strategies of the systems in 3 different variations.<\/p>\n

The result of the best strategy is shown in the figure below due to the AHP decision.\"timelineend\"<\/a><\/p>\n
