Their growing complexity and interdependencies require a sophisticated approach to identify, evaluate, and optimize maintenance strategies.<\/address>\n<address>In this project, we explore the integration of several key systems:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00bb A dam serving as the water intake point, where raw water is collected;<br \/>\n\u00bb A wastewater primary sedimentation tank, designed to treat the water and remove impurities;<br \/>\n\u00bb A steel storage tank, ensuring safe and efficient storage of treated water;<br \/>\n\u00bb A network of interconnected pipes, facilitating the seamless flow of water between components.<\/p>\n<p>This case exemplifies the integration of these systems into a unified \u2018system of systems.\u2019 We aim to explore:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00bb How these systems can function cohesively to ensure optimal performance;<br \/>\n\u00bb The definition and analysis of maintenance scenarios, evaluating the behavior of each component and its impact on the overall system;<br \/>\n\u00bb The development of a new Life-Cycle Inventory (LCI) and Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate environmental and economic impacts;<br \/>\n\u00bb The use of multi-objective optimization to determine the best maintenance and operational strategies.<\/p>\n<p>By addressing these aspects, we aim to develop sustainable, efficient, and resilient solutions for modern infrastructure systems.
