Alternatives for power, heating, cooling, electricity usage are presented in a comprehensive knowledge base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intended Users and Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the many options presented, designers and engineers &#8211; particularly mechanical engineers &#8211; can assess the many strategies for energy efficiency that might be applicable for their unique project. The ontology is broad enough to be applied to a new residential building, a home renovation, or simply for technological improvements to existing systems.
