The energy and emissions from each system are quantified and analyzed in the integrated R script.<\/p>\n<p>For our analysis, we choose a cradle to gate approach, shown by the following graphic:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19113\" src=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/asdsadasasd.png\" alt=\"asdsadasasd\" width=\"602\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/asdsadasasd.png 602w, http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/asdsadasasd-300x191.png 300w, http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/asdsadasasd-520x331.png 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Life Cycle Inventory<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to combine the inventories of all materials and emissions for all systems, we decided to create one matrix function for each; each system would be represented by an \u201cif\u201d loop that called that particular system\u2019s scope from a combined CSV file. The material quantities, energy consumed, and emissions produced would then be concatenated into a matrix for that subsystem. In the final part of the inventory section, we combined all six matrixes into one integrated system that essentially totaled up all values from the subsystems into one single row matrix. The costs for energy and each type of emission was also included in this matrix, represented by the combined quantities from the integrated matrix multiplied by the unit cost per metric ton of emission produced.
