1.<\/span> Purpose and Scope of the Ontology of a Railway Track <\/span><\/span> <\/span>The main purpose of developing this ontology is to be able to understand to the specific <\/span>
\ndetails of the system for the sake of constructing a railway track. <\/span><\/span>To develop an ontology it is crucial to dive deeper into details of the system and recognize <\/span>
\nwhat are the components that is crucial in terms of engineering it. The following taxonomy of <\/span>
\nthe system is yielded out of the research: <\/span><\/span>1. <\/span>Physical components <\/span><\/span>2. <\/span>Material <\/span><\/span>3. <\/span>Function <\/span><\/span> <\/span>The physical components is one of the most important aspect to be focused on. Every <\/span>
\nconstruction system has a physical components which are assembled together to fulfill the <\/span>
\nrole that it is assigned for. Each components play a very important role in executing or <\/span>
\nsupporting a task. Not only positive different results can be achieved by altering the <\/span>
\ncomponents inside the system, but also the possibility of the system breaking down and not <\/span>
\nable to fulfill its role. <\/span><\/span>The railway track is further divided into 2 groups which are: Superstructure and <\/span>
\nSubstructure. Superstructure are mostly any components of the system that is above the <\/span>
\nground with the role of executing or supporting the task that is needed. Whereas <\/span>
\nsubstructures are mostly components of a system that is located below the ground which <\/span>
\nmost of the time has the role of supporting the system. In this case the soil acts as a <\/span>
\nsubstructure to support the track. Without the support of the soil, the track will not be able to <\/span>
\nfunction properly to let the train travels through the track. <\/span><\/span>Material is also an aspect that has to be considered in this assignment. The goal of listing <\/span>
\nthe materials is to make sure that we understand what type of materials are needed and <\/span>
\nessential for our system. By taking these materials into consideration, we are able to analyse <\/span>
\nand make a better decision given the essential information that we have about our system. <\/span><\/span>And lastly the function also has to be considered. By listing the user of our system, we can <\/span>
\nbetter decide on what we have to consider in our system. By having that as an information <\/span>
\nwe can take everything into consideration and decide which changes will improve the <\/span>
\nperformance of our system the most. <\/span><\/span>Firstly we will be explaining about the components of the system with a short description of <\/span>
