This makes it possible to identify and quantify the flow of energy and materials used in every stage of the life cycle of the system and make conclusions based on a comparison of the results. The integrated system being discussed is based on four subsystems namely the\u00a0sump pits, slab or column structure of bulidings,\u00a0the play ground and Fiber optic cable\u00a0which interact with each other.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is conducted to percive the environmental impact of a system over its entire lifetime. As defined in the previous page of scope and goal we are taking the total energy consumption, C0<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0and NO<sub>x<\/sub>\u00a0emission and SO<sub>2\u00a0<\/sub>pollution into account. Therefore, a life cycle inventory is composed with the materials that are used in the life cycle analysis. First, it is interesting to see the environmental impact of each subsystem. As it can be seen in Figure 1, the Sump pits has a great environmental impact whereas the other subsystems has a\u00a0significantly low impact. The reason for that is that the Sump pit\u00a0 have high quality and reinforcement in the structure. However, having multiple performance criteria on hand, we improve our model by using the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method which is one of the multicriteria decision making (MCDM) methods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">First, a score matrix for each performance criteria is developed based on the LCA results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/\u00c2HP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6921\" src=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/\u00c2HP.jpg\" alt=\"ahp\" width=\"711\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/\u00c2HP.jpg 711w, http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/\u00c2HP-300x77.jpg 300w, http:\/\/141.23.68.248\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/\u00c2HP-520x133.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Table 3 &#8211;\u00a0AHP &#8211; Pairwise comparison of the criteria<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After performing AHP in R we\u00a0pie chart plot of the AHP results, which is shown in Figure 4. Here,\u00a0the cost for each indicator has been summed up, thus these results show the total environmental impact of the strategy options. Strategy option 3 and 5 show the lowest cost followed by strategy option 4.
